Who We Are; The ARTEZIA Story

Updated: Mar 27, 2023

Hello, and welcome to the ARTEZIA blog. This is the first in a series of posts to inform, inspire and engage you, whether you’re a prospective or former client, or neither, but still interested in any of the subjects I’ll tackle; this is our introduction.

Overview

ARTEZIA European Cabinetry | Design Studio is San Francisco-based at 10 Arkansas Street in the prestigious SF Design District. Our two showrooms are neighbors to studios comprised of talented architects and designers amidst a garden courtyard, the central hub of the complex.

Our primary focus is kitchen cabinetry from Italy, Germany, and Austria. Our product and service line has three baskets: custom cabinetry for the kitchen and all areas of the home, solid wood fine furniture manufactured by TEAM 7 in Austria, and detailed design services to support our products.

Cabinetry

While our Italian, German, and Austrian custom cabinetry is geared toward creating dream kitchens, we also provide cabinetry and design services for other home areas, including the living room, dining room, home office, and bedroom.

TEAM 7 Solid-Wood Furniture

As the San Francisco Bay Area’s sole provider of TEAM 7 solid-wood cabinetry and furniture, we proudly offer the full line of Austrian-made custom furniture. Suite A of the ARTEZIA showrooms has furniture displays for the entryway, dining room, living room, kitchen, laundry, and bath; we show a good portion of what TEAM 7 manufactures.

Design Studio

What distinguishes ARTEZIA from some of our competitors is our design services. Although our design work is geared toward supporting custom cabinetry and furniture sales, optimum design takes patience and working closely with our clients. Years of experience designing and building dream kitchens have demonstrated how vital the revision process is for the success of our projects. In addition, it’s much easier and less costly to change plans in a drawing than once the construction is underway, so our approach is always measured and detailed.

Our History

I’m Daniel Leffler, the principal and creative force behind ARTEZIA. Before entering the European cabinetry field in 2016, I was a licensed general contractor in San Francisco with my business Takoma Carpentry. After designing and building a four-unit home in the Mission District, completed in 2012, along with many other projects, including a 2017 Potrero Hill single-family residence, I began operating a local custom cabinetry shop in San Francisco, SF Custom Cabinets.

In 2016, I teamed up with a business partner to enter the European kitchen cabinetry field at 111 Rhode Island Street, just a few blocks from where we are now at 10 Arkansas Street. The original showroom centered around a French cabinetry manufacturer, PYRAM Fine French Kitchens. Two years later, I took over full ownership of PYRAM and changed the name to ARTEZIA to better reflect the updated and expanded vision for the business.
